Found without an artist signature/ initials. Maybe no one put their initials on it thinking it was just a simple, small thing. But, I especially like it. The ray/ beams coming from the ship work well. I wouldn’t have done them the same (I think) but they work out really well. One of those times I’d wish I had thought of it first.
This is a screen capture. I like the layout she used, even including the space aliens in the night sky.

60% of the US people still think this was the right thing to do. (Classic “not in my backyard” thinking).
Today is the 70th anniversary of the first atomic bomb being dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, by a US aircraft.
The bombing – and a second one on Nagasaki three days later – claimed the lives of at least 140,000 people in the city. Half died slowly, over several weeks/ months from radiation, burns and dehydration.
A Japanese report on the bombing characterized Nagasaki as “like a graveyard with not a tombstone standing”
I began following accounts of the paranormal as a kid, living in small town Ontario. I have never forgotten some of the unexplained mysteries I read then. One, in particular, about a girl in the school yard who is suddenly scooped up into the air and then thrown down. No one could find a reason or a method for this to happen. But, it did happen.
There are many paranormal explorers and researchers in Ontario. Many focus on the ghosts and haunted places. But, there is so much more out there, ghosts seem small in comparison.
One of my favourite paranormal studies are the creatures, like the lake monsters. It doesn’t seem so unreasonable to me that they could be real animals, seldom seen and not at all understood.
Paranormal also includes UFOs and space aliens.
I’d like to find more paranormal groups which don’t have the heavy focus on ghosts, hauntings and that area. I think it’s something that will never be 100% proved because there are so many brilliant fakes and so many ways to mislead yourself or find a perfectly sensible sounding explanation.

Today I’m watching a Terminator marathon on the Space channel. All the first season of the Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles. I think most interesting part of the show is the robot which Summer Glau does. Interesting about how she has a mysterious background and is already more human than any of the other robots. Also, how she becomes more human and yet is still a robot too. Anyway, I just like an interesting story about people, even if they are robots. Or maybe more if they are robots cause I have always had a soft spot for robots and aliens.
I found out that the template I bought for Word Grrls isn’t all original work. The graphic for the header is pretty much for rent to anyone who pays something for it. I had thought it was part of an original design. So I’m disappointed. I guess if I were smarter I would have known that, not assumed otherwise. So that makes it a bit easier to decide about what to do with the blogginess. I still need a name for it but I’m going to go with a blog about blogging, sort of. I need a name and a slant, twist to make it uniquely me and not so much of clone of so many others out there.
I came to a site called from my latest blog space renter, KizzyKim. Open Mind is another politically correct site about being perfect and accepting everything. How nice. Yet, how silly.
Why should we accept everyone and everything? Keep some prejudices, don’t become some kind of blank book where you have no memory of things which happened in the past and no reasons for being careful or judgemental. I don’t like the happy pill swill sites like Open Mind. They expect us to swallow and regurgitate back out some mindless drivel about how everyone is equal and should have full rights and nothing held against them. That is buloney. You can’t go through life wearing blinders. You also shouldn’t go through life expecting everyone has taken the same happy pill each morning.
I don’t agree with some things which are politically correct in society now. I’m not going to change that, it’s based on my experience and how I feel about the world and the people on it. I’m not about to go around burning people or beating them up. But, I’m not going to smile and pretend everything is just fine and okay with me. I have some standards, ideals and opinions of my own.
What about you? If you are truly honest with yourself, do you really agree with all the politically correctness we are told to accept? What do you accept, what do you tolerate and what do you grind your teeth about yet say nothing?
I think the most interesting thing about all of this is that once you give freedoms and acceptance to one group of people (Pagans, gays, gun lovers, little green aliens, etc) you have to take some freedom and acceptance away from another group (think smokers and non-smokers). So, all this open mindedness is really a sham. It doesn’t exist, but it does look really nice on paper, newspapers, magazines, TV shows and movies.
