There’s a pretty effective ad. I came across this ad on the site for the York Region newspaper. Someone had sent me a link to follow to a story they had printed. Anyway, I was struck by that ad with the maple leaf falling down. I even went to the site for the
Nature Conservancy

Itty Bitty Shamrock
H-8 (5mm) crochet hook
any green worsted weight yarnStart: ch 3, join with a sl st to 1st ch to form circle.
For petals: [ch 3, 1 trc, 1 dc, 1 trc, ch 3, slip stitch into circle] repeat 3 times total.
For stem: ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st rem ch sts. Fasten off and weave in ends.4 Leaf Clover
