Paranormal Romance Writers

I posted this to a discussion on Facebook for fans of J.R. Ward . They were asking about other writers you like to read, in the same genre.

I’ve read every book in Kelley Armstrong’s series, just not the latest cause I wait for it to come out in paperback.

I also like Kresley Cole, still looking for a couple of those in secondhand shops. I like Sherrilyn Kenyon’s series but started getting worn out on them.

Others I like are:
Michelle Rowan
Katie MacAlister
Kerrelyn Sparks
Annette Blair – A Witch series with sisters and friends.
Stephanie Rowe – Seems to have stopped writing.
Gerry Bartlett
Tanith Lee
Rachel Vincent – Writes about werecats but has the action and dark side too.
Gena Showalter
Lynsay Sands
Tanya Huff
Evelyn Vaughn

Not all of them are dark. I like paranormal romance with humour and a light side too.

The newest I found is Natasha Rhodes. She only has a couple out so far but they are very good and quite dark.

Creative Fat Grrl is Back

I’ve gone back to writing Creative Fat Grrl at LockerGnome. I wanted to be writing for a network again. I applied at LifeHacker, 9Rules and looked at others but at the end of that series of adventures I came back, revamped it and started posting to Creative Fat Grrl again. It was there. LockerGnome gives a lot of freedom to the writers, for the writing part of things and that matters a lot to me. I don’t like rules and restrictions. Even when I can make sense of them and understand why they are needed.

That means this blog won’t be getting back to daily posts again. But it won’t be abandoned either. I will add links to the sidebar so you can visit and see what I’m blabbing about here or there.

Happy wandering.

The Snowman By Lynn Zirkel

The Snowman

I built him with laughter
And warm winter smiles.
I built him so tall
You can see him for miles,
And at night the starlight
Makes him glint like a king,
And the moonbeams dance around
As the winter winds sing.

I built him with joy
For Christmas is here.
He’s my champion my trophy,
My prize for the year.
And the glow from the snow
Paints him silvery bright,
And my king among snowmen
Glistens snow white.

But spring holds his future
For winter won’t last,
And my snowman will melt
To a thing of the past.
But each year for ever
His memory will bring
A crown for his throne
With the snowdrops of spring.
