I found these on Etsy while looking for a dragon sticker to plaster on my new laptop. I would have picked either of these if the dragon had been better looking (closer to the dragon style I like).

This looks like a gorgeous faux fur robe, but the site has two versions of it in the photos. It is a small difference that could make a big difference if you ordered it expecting the more faux fur looking one and got the less fur looking robe instead.
This is the version of faux fur I like. It doesn’t look like something from a well manicured pet. This is just a bit scruffy looking.
Most sites seem to call them robes. I’ve always called them housecoats. I’ve been looking for about a week for just what I wanted – full length, big size, long sleeves, no tie in front, and a nice comfortable, warm, wearable sort of fabric. I found this on Amazon tonight. I had to send it to my Mom in Florida (for the winter) because they don’t ship to Canada. But, it should get there before she is driving back. Sadly, shopping online means you have to guessimate and hope for the best. However, shopping store by store is a lot more time consuming and less likely to turn up results (unless you’re not at all picky). I’m not especially picky but, in this case, I did know just what I wanted. I wasn’t thinking white, but I can adapt that much.
I found this on Amazon, only a small size. I looked for it online and found more of them on Bath & Robes. Still not the size I was looking for, being bigger so I don’t have any part of it tight fitting no matter what I end up doing while wearing it. I want something soft, comfortable, red and without a tie up in front. This was the best I found. I will just keep looking. But… isn’t it nice!
Found on Etsy today. The shop says it is from the 1940’s.
I don’t collect them, other than those I have bought to wear over the years. But, I’m sure somewhere there are spectacle collectors, especially for vintage cat’s eye glasses. They are fairly unique and decorative looking.

I noticed these today. I was actually looking for glasses to help with reading the computer screen. Not for glare. Reading glasses won’t do either. I tried a few generic glasses at the pharmacy, they are made for people with positive strength vision. I don’t remember my exact numbers, but they are in the negative, meaning I am near sighted/ short sighted. Reading glasses don’t help. My current glasses don’t help much either. I read the computer screen with my head tipped way back so I can use the bifocals to read the screen. Not helpful and my neck gets stiff. Probably good exercise for my chin and neck. But, frustrating.
Description from the site: Set of 3 inox, stainless steel , cups and saucers, very decorative with beautiful and elegant pattern, art nouveau style. Vintage item from the 1960s.
Found on Etsy, shop BrocanteEst, in Romania.
I like the look of them and being steel is nice, durable and unusual. But, I think they would be tricky to use. The handles are not shaped for having your finger through them and the steel could be hot to hold onto if you drink coffee or tea in them. Also, 3 is an odd number for a set. At least they have the cups and saucers for all 3 in the set.
I pulled it out of the dishwasher, still hot. Did not think but went ahead and poured in a little coffee cream, cold from the fridge. I heard that little ping and, sure enough, my glass mug had a huge crack, splitting the bottom and up each side. I am annoyed with myself. I should have had my brain on but I was working on autopilot.
I found more of them. But, they are not available for online shopping. I did find some on eBay, but the shipping is expensive, beyond considering. So, I will just wait until I am somewhere there is an Ikea store. Funny, Ikea is so popular but this will be the first time I have ever had a plan to shop there. But, the mugs (called beer tankards) are in stock.
