“I don’t think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains.” – Anne Frank
I know Anne Frank wasn’t thinking about divorce, but isn’t it odd how much it fits? I’m so glad to be on the other side of my divorce. I can remember a few pretty awful days and weeks. I don’t even want to talk about them cause it brings them that much closer to my current day, which is quite good so far.
It is so important to keep plodding along and get to the other side, when you are getting divorced. It’s important to remember and focus on the fact that there is another side, an exit door in time.
Take a day off from your life, stop focusing on yourself and your pain, spend time doing something with someone, help someone else. By getting outside of your own mind you have a mini vacation and recharge your batteries. You still have to get through it but it is easier when you aren’t dwelling on the bottom of it all.
