How to Have Good Phone Sex

Phone sex or sexting, isn’t just for professionals. Play with it, have some fun and tease your partner over the phone.

Put yourself in the right mood for it.

Consider running soft music in the background and set the lights low. Actually wear something that makes you feel sexy and in the mood.

Get your equipment ready, I mean your phone.

Power up the battery. Clean the thing off too. You don’t want to be distracted by phone gunk.

Clear your schedule.

Interruptions will spoil the mood and likely cause embarrassment too.

Plan ahead.

Your partner should be expecting you call too, or you should at least be sure won’t be put in an embarrassing situation either.

Whisper or speak softly.

Speaking softly sets the mood in a way you can’t with lighting when you’re on the phone.

Describe, don’t tell.

You’ve only got words so have some great descriptive narration. “What are you wearing?” is just a start. Compliments and affection work well too.

House of Music

The house had history, atmosphere and music. It also had a ghost.

“Every house has it’s own music, you just have to listen.”

“You’re full of it. Spouting that philosophical nonsense when we need to focus on getting out of here. What does any of that namby pamby crap matter now?”

“It matters.” Kate settled down cross-legged on the cellar floor. She ignored the cold cement, the mustiness and her husband’s temper. It wasn’t her fault the door had swung shut and stayed that way. Sure she had brought him here to explore with her but she wasn’t the one naive enough to expect every door that opened once would open again on the other side.

“Shut up, just shut up while I figure this out.” Steve seemed to always be grumpy.

The cellar was dimly lit, just the early morning light managing to filter in. But she could see with more than her eyes. The house had history, atmosphere and music.

It also had ghosts. Not the Halloween movie type ghosts. These were real ghosts. Quiet, watching and wondering who was disturbing the abandoned mansion. They were part of the music too, the history, the very wood, marble and bones of the house. It was an easy listening song but with undertones of something slightly gothic. Kate wrote gothic romances as a hobby, she understood gothic well. Or, as well as anyone could be expected to. Continue reading House of Music

Where the Wild Things Are: I Believe in Santa Claus

Originally posted to ‘BackWash: Where the Wild Things Are’ newsletter, December, 25, 2003.

I believe in Santa Claus. Maybe I just choose to believe. But I think there’s more to it. In part it’s the Christmas spirit generated in this season, sharing good cheer and love, friendship. Maybe it’s the atmosphere of giving and not just taking. Maybe it’s the strength of all those children who also believe in Santa Claus. All those things combine and make strong magickal forces. You may scoff all you like. But the fact is this is a powerful time of year. Each person wandering around with their own part in the whole of the Christmas spirit contributes to the power. Each good deed, each gift shared and each friend greeted is part of a huge ritual taking place.

Children traditionally set out offerings for Santa: milk and cookies, something for the reindeer and a tidbit for the elves. We send him notes asking for blessings. Santa also has ritual music and poetry, widely known and frequently chanted at this time of year. The rituals are passed on to each new child, carried along and given new life for each generation.

All those people, no matter what path they follow, know about Santa Claus. He’s the focus of the spirit of giving and good will. For children he’s the figure of authority, he who must be pleased. Cultural icon, old wives tale or commercial legend, Santa has been given power and there doesn’t need to be an actual human being for that power to exist. We don’t need to see a man in a red suit driving an air borne sleigh, packing a bottomless bag of toys to believe in Santa Claus. It’s all around us, every moment of every day in this season.

So, scoff if you choose. But, I believe in Santa Claus. I like it that way.

Merry Yule, Seasons Greetings and leave Santa a little something tonight.

INTP Personality

INTP personality.

This post may have been copied from another source before being posted to HubPages. I don’t know. I did notice some pretty silly typos, so whoever posted it never proofread it.

NTP is the rarest personality type in the 16 personality types in the Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator. The Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator is used to make the theory of psychological types described by C G Jung understandable and actually useful in an average person’s life. The whole point of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in the behavior is actually quite orderly and very consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and their own personal judgment. Have you Vibrated Today?

Originally posted to Adult BackWash: Wednesday October 08, 2003

How often do you think of vibrations? I don’t mean vibrators. Get your head out of the pussy. Just for a minute, take a breathing break.

Music, speech, sound in general, it’s all vibrations. You can feel vibrations with your ears. You can feel vibrations with your fingertips and all over your bare skin. No wonder vibrations make sex so much more sensual.

Think about all the vibrations going on during sex. Not the main ones during the act itself even. Breathing gets harsher sounding, faster and shorter. Breath fans your sweaty skin, moving all the little teeny hairs all over your body. If you speak you cause ripples of sound which start in your own body and caress the body of your lover. When you physically touch your lover you create waves. You know how you can feel someone’s touch even before there is real skin on skin contact. Then, the real touch which sends tremours over your skin and deeply through your body.

Have you ever made love to music? I haven’t. Unless you count a radio in the background. I wasn’t even aware of it at the time. But, on some level you are, of course. I’d like to try sex with a casette of our choosing on, rather than the random music of the radio.

Would it feel greatly different to have sex to classical music over big band? Would you get a bigger charge out of sex if you listened to hard rock or something more mellow like country music? Then there’s that whole new age, natural sounds stuff. Would you feel like you were making love in the middle of a forest if you hear birds chirping and babbling brooks? It would be interesting. Very sexy, I think.

How would it be to make love in the shower while listening to a tape of the ocean?

Would you make love in the car with a car crash/ demolition tape playing?

I think vibrations are a key element in sex. They can set the mood, change the tempo and in the end, an orgasm is just one intense pulsing vibration.

Your Birthdate

What Your Birth Date Reveals About You!

Laura this is what your birth date reveals about you!

19 + 12 + 1964 = 1995
1 + 9 + 9 + 5 = 24
2 + 4 = 6
Your Birth Number :6

6’s are idealistic and need to feel useful to be happy. A strong family connection is important to them. Their emotions influence their decisions. They have a strong urge to take care of others and to help. They are very loyal and make great teachers. They like art or music. They make loyal friends who take the friendship seriously. 6’s should learn to differentiate between what they can change and what they cannot.

Just Another Ordinary Miracle

I love that song. So many of Sarah McLachlan’s songs are beautiful in that simple kind of way. Sometimes I wait for them to put out a ‘best of’ album cause I don’t want to spend the money OR start another collection of any kind of stuff, including CDs or DVDs for music or movies. But, in this case I might see what I can find next time I’m in Zellers. Would be lovely to listen to her at home while I’m writing.

Sarah McLachlan – Ordinary Miracle Lyrics

It’s not that usual when everything is beautiful
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

The sky knows when its time to snow
You don’t need to teach a seed to grow
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own

Isn’t it remarkable?
Like every time a raindrop falls
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

Birds in winter have their fling
And always make it home by spring
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

When you wake up everyday
Please don’t throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we are all a part
Of the ordinary miracle

Ordinary miracle
Do you want to see a miracle?

Its seems so exceptional
Things just work out after all
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

The sun comes up and shines so bright
It disappears again at night
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

I Hope You Dance

A favorite Quote from Soulfully Blonde:
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music.

That made me think of the song by Lee Ann Womack – I Hope You Dance

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance….I hope you dance……….

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance,
Livin’ like me, takin’ chances, but they’re worth takin’,
Lovin’ might be a mistake, but it’s worth makin’,
Don’t let some Hell bent heart leave you bitter,
If you come close to sellin’ out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance….I hope you dance.
I hope you dance….I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years
and wonder where those years have gone.)

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

Dance….I hope you dance.
I hope you dance….I hope you dance.
I hope you dance….I hope you dance..
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years
and wonder where those years have gone.)

Remembering that song makes me tear up.
