Isn’t this public nudity? I thought there were laws about that in the US, North America? This is proof of the level of obsession with sexuality. Trump will have his 4 – 8 years. But, what does it say about us (the people) that this was created, displayed in public and has been saved for further public display elsewhere?
It’s not about Trump, for me. It’s about the fact that with all of this, people are only talking about Trump. That’s pretty screwed up.
A little more irony? This was posted to a site with (Not Safe For Work) in the headline. But, the fact is, there was no fig leaf on this when it was displayed in a public street. Not safe for work? At this point, does that really mean anything?
What are the standards for public nudity, sex and sexuality now? Are we just waiting for the government and legal system to catch up with an “anything goes”policy? Or, are we leaving it to them to set the guidelines and uphold some kind of standards?
If this doesn’t leave you a little confused about what our standards for public nudity are, why not?
I was surprised to see a site still protesting Sunday Shopping. At one point the writer says he did not start out protesting due to religion. But, if not for religion it could be any week day. Sunday is the legendary “day of rest”. But, not if you’re an atheist. Why not keep Sundays for business and close down Monday? Or Friday? Maybe Wednesday, it’s right there in the middle of the week.
I might pick Thursday but then who would really want to go back to work on Friday knowing you have Saturday and Sunday off?
There can only be so many religious holidays. Christians already have more time off than any other religion in North America. I don’t think the Sunday Shopping protest is going any where. The real test is to see how many people are spending time in church. I’ve heard the numbers are dropping. A shame but… religion is a personal thing.

Q&A: “What Makes America the Greatest Country in the World?”.
America is not a country. It’s a landmass made up of two continents: North America and South America. Here, let me describe them…
(Link to the full post is above).
This is my comment:
Thank you for your post! We talk about the same idea, how America and American could mean anyone from North or South America. Why don’t people in the US have their own name for their people? Sometimes we call them USers or USians, but they really should have a better name. I don’t know of any other country which does not have a word or phrase for it’s citizens. It’s kind of weird really.
If we talk to people from the US about this they get all huffy about it. “Americans are Americans!”. But, in fact, Americans could be Mexican or Canadian or Chilean, etc. USians are a people without a name of their own.
Even “United States” or “United States of America” is non-descriptive. There are other countries with the same name, more or less.
Anyway, I thought it was just a few of us up here in Canada who thought about this at all. Nice to see someone else has noticed.
I never understand the anger management issues with spiders. I’ve got one living on the ceiling of my bedroom. He/ she has been there all winter. I’ll catch him/her and dump them outside now that it’s spring.
I know people don’t like spiders. But to feel all this anger towards them is a bit creepy and very unjustified.
No, I don’t pick them up and I don’t choose to keep them around as pets. But, I’m not out to get them either.
Are you having some sort of predator moment? Fearing you will have to share food sources with the spider? They eat bugs, if you’ve sunk that low… reconsider.
Are you afraid of a venomous spider? There are few of them in North America. Relax, the spider isn’t out to eat you. It would be happy to avoid you entirely. You’re not nearly crunchy enough.
