Women are Out of Fashion

One huge benefit to using males as female models… no one will ask them to cover their nipples.

What do you think of men walking down the runway in women’s clothing? Doesn’t sound so far fetched these days, and it isn’t. The funny thing is how well it actually works.

Men have a skinnier shape, more like a clothes rack. If he does put on a little weight, he can lose weight faster and easier than women anyway. Men tend to be taller too.

Men don’t menstruate or get pregnant. Less missed days at work. Less risk of leakage on clothes, bloating, mood swings, or any other side effects from the monthly visitor.

Men still get paid more than women so selling women’s fashions to crossdressing or transgender people makes good business sense too. Although they may have to lower their prices because everyone knows women pay more for clothes, hair cuts, etc., than men.

Looks like we are out of fashion, ladies!

In the performing arts men were playing women’s roles in theatre long before Shakespeare was still writing plays. I guess all those skinny women will have to find a man to support them (and his children).

Don’t think I’m posting this as a feminism thing. It is and yet it isn’t really about feminism. This is so much a reflection of our culture and the changes it has been going through. Where is it going and how will things continue to evolve? How strange would it be if women became second class citizens useful for baby-making, cooking and cleaning?  There is a great science fiction story in there…

Despite the event being a womenswear show, that gang included not just girls but guys – although, dressed in the same slinky, skin-exposing jumpsuits and jackets as their female counterparts, their presence went…

An Ovipositor Fetish

Most people who post a link like this will slam it in some way upfront. It’s a way to distance themselves from the fetish, as if it’s something they would never do or have any interest in. But… do you really believe them? After all they are posting it.

I’m not going to do that because I do find it interesting. The idea has been something I have had a fetish fantasy about. I like most of the weird science fiction sex fetishes. (Science fiction sex fetishes are based on reading a lot of science fiction, fact and history). I only say most because there is likely something I haven’t thought of, heard of or seen on TV, that I wouldn’t like.

Having said all that, the fantasy is not reality. The fantasy is a lot more controlled and has far less consequences.

The Ovipositor lays gelatin eggs in the body cavity of your choice. Fans say the sensation of mushy extraterrestrial ovum slopping out of them is a real treat.

Science Saturday: Don’t Stand So Close to the Dalek

Gracie posted Saucy Saturday with a gorilla and a naked woman, a vintage fetish thing. I’m posting… even though it’s the first hour of Sunday now… Science Saturday with vintage naked women standing far too close and exposed to a Dalek. They’re going to need to run soon and they don’t have the best footwear for it!

Sex is Not About Reproduction?

“Sex is not about reproduction. At all.” Today on BOLD, LeGrande Green interviews sex researcher Christopher Ryan about the provocative history of marriage and sexual boundaries. “If you look at it from a historical sense,” he says, “monogamy is propaganda, not science. I often compare it with vegetarianism…it’s a choice.”

Via – CHRISTOPHER RYAN: “The History of Sex” » BOLD WITH LeGRANDE GREEN

From a male perspective it is much easier to decide sex is not about reproduction. How many women would feel that same way? From a female perspective reproduction is a big part of sex. Birth control, having a monthly period and pregnancy are all linked to sex – unless you’re a male. For men the issue of reproduction is whether or not they use a condom. Big difference, but it makes it much easier for men to think sex is just sex, without consequences or something you have to plan for.

Too bad reproduction isn’t a choice. Women could choose to get pregnant, or not, without requiring sex partners, doctors, lawyers or anyone else. If a woman wanted a baby but didn’t really see any man she wanted to be with, monogamous or not, she could just choose to be pregnant. If a woman did not want to be pregnant she could choose to terminate a pregnancy without getting approval or judgment from anyone. If a woman just wanted to have sex, an orgasm or three, she could choose that, even with a partner.

Yes, women can get abortions. If they qualify. If they can afford it. If they are willing to risk being under the knife and if they can take on the guilt and sadness of aborting a developing life. Abortions are no simple thing. But, they don’t happen to men.

Sex would be much simpler for women if they could eliminate the reproduction issues caused by sex. But, so far science hasn’t found a way to make that a choice for women.

Take a Look at Quora

You may not have been online when the newsgroups flourished. These days you can find them as Google Groups. Thank you to Google for saving and archiving them when they could have been lost.

quoraI have found a site which reminds me of the newsgroup days. Quora is intended as a question and answer site but as I was looking around I had the feeling of being back in the newsgroups. You never know who you would see: foreign looking names,  everyday people, big names, important people and all of them interesting in one way or another. It’s a place you can find the people you don’t find when you’re on Twitter and Facebook and so on. Quora is still unspoiled by web marketing.

There isn’t a lot of adult content there and of course I did look for it. I did find two in the theme of this site. I found over a hundred to suit my other interests like history and science fiction and art. But, for this site I’m just listing the links for BDSM , Bondage, Dominatrix and FemDom. Take a look and post a question. No promises on getting an answer at all but don’t expect immediate replies. It’s a forum, people come and go and login here and there. Be on your good behaviour, don’t spam and don’t nag about not getting a reply within the hour (or even that week). Most questions get replies but it is all wonderfully random and unexpected.

I also found a link to a BDSM community on Reddit.

Practical Romance for the Middle Aged Woman

romanceWhen I was 16, still fresh and far less cynical or skeptical, I read the old style of Harlequin romance novels. The heroines were always virgins and no one thought about using condoms. Men were gentlemen. Women didn’t have sex on a first date. Romance was syrupy sweet with flowers and dates that didn’t include making out or sex. Don’t think there weren’t steamy kissing scenes and lots of holding and hugging and so on. The old Harlequin romances stopped just short of sex.

Now I’m not 16 any more. I’m somewhere in the middle of being middle aged. At least I hope I am. No one has really given me a cut off date on that. (I’m not really looking too hard for one). I don’t read the old Harlequin romances any more. They seem pretty standard now. The stories are the same, only the names and locations have been changed. (I read paranormal romance, I admit but I prefer science fiction, mysteries and less horrifying horror books). I still like some romance in the books I read but I like humour much more.

My style has changed. I’ve gone from syrupy romance to wanting romance to have something practical and real behind it.

It must be something that happens with age. I still read younger women posting quotes, photos and stories about romance, heavy on the sweet and syrupy side. I can’t get into any of it. I don’t see it as something real.

So, I wondered about my style of romance now. I do know that I still want romance. A little hand holding, if his hands are clean. I like the door opened and I like to open the door for him too.

Retro Internet: The 1500 Point Purity Test

Long ago, in the days of the Internet surfing highway, there was a purity test with over 1000 questions. I found a copy of it. Posted for your viewing (or take the test) pleasure.

THE UNISEX PURITY TEST

If you thought the millenial purity test was bad, well you ain’t see
nuttin’ yet!

This is the 1500 point Purity Test!

We felt that the 1000 point version lost a lot of the “fun” of the
earlier versions, so we re-wrote it, adding a few new sections, and
a shitload of questions. This test is guaranteed to be nosier that
your parents, more invasive than the census, and containing something
to offend everybody.

Also included is an answer form so that you can remember where in the
test you were, or show to a friend.

Flirtation, Seduction and Foreplay

Originally posted to Sex Kitten (2003 – 2004)

Sometimes BDSM is boring.

When you listen to yet another guy listing his fetishes, his turn ons, his kinky requirements, like a grocery list you will be expected to perform. When you read yet another erotica story starring the poor helpless man or the man who fucks everything and has a miracle magic cock that every female wants. When you read another discussion about the finer points of BDSM and the points become so refined they have lost any sharpness they may have had.

Sometimes people just think an idea to death. That’s what BDSM is, an idea. It’s not a religion, it’s just foreplay which requires a little education. It is not about pain. If you bring that idea to it then that’s what you have brought to it. It’s up to you to wonder why and decide how you want to explore that fetish.

If you explore BDSM you will discover many ideas, attitudes and philosophies. Tell them all to bite you, most of them will like that. Go with what you want and make it how you want it. BDSM is not a religion, it should actually be something more enjoyable than religion. BDSM is for pleasure, that’s all. The only rules are geared to keeping it a pleasure for both (all) involved. Religion is far more complicated than BDSM should ever be.

Some people have the attitude that anyone not involved in a 24/ 7 (round the clock, permanent) BDSM relationship is not really in the scene. Smile kindly at these people and go about enjoying your life, as you were. Would you really and truly want this to be your lifestyle, every day, year after year? Would you not at some point like a day off? Lifestyle BDSM is unrealistic.

One big myth about BDSM is that it has to involve pain. Anyone who believes that has not really examined the concept. Even the initials prove how false this idea is. Bondage and Discipline, Domination and Submission, Sadism and Masochism: do you see pain written all over that? Bondage is about being restrained, tied up, etc. Discipline is often something along the lines of spanking. Domination is about being the dominant partner or being the dominated partner, the submissive. Then there are the Switches who dominate or are dominated, as it suits them. S and M are only the tail end.

No one should hop into BDSM without some idea of what they are getting into. Take it as any other hobby, learn how to make it work, what tools (if any) you require. Make sure your partner is at least interested, if not eager. Think of the whole thing as foreplay, flirtation and seduction. If you want to add pain, bondage, or domination explore those elements.

I’ve been into BDSM since I was a kid. A lot of people will say that. I think it sounds odd. But, for me I know what I was doing and I can only wonder and image what someone else was thinking or doing. I was reading my Dad’s science fiction books and I was daring myself to look at pictures of naked men in the magazine racks at stores. I didn’t buy them, not till much later when I was 16. Naked men made me blush and yet, I really didn’t see the attraction of the male body, or parts of it. The penis looked dorky, it still does. Reading the term penis envy still makes me think men are must be pretty insecure if not unbalanced. Who would envy that? Breast envy would be more likely.

What do you Think about De-extinction?

carrierpigeons

De-extinctioning is a movement to bring back species humans have killed off

Scientists are working to revive passenger pigeons, woolly mammoths and other species

Conservationists worry if extinction isn’t forever, efforts to preserve habitat and species today will lose steam

via Should we bring back the passenger pigeon and the woolly mammoth?.

There may be reasons (other than human hunting or over population) which has caused a species to become extinct. I don’t know how science could be sure which species would have gone extinct naturally.
